Moving Forward

I haven’t had the opportunity to update Phrost Designs as much as I would like to in recent weeks but I promise I have a legitimate excuse based solely on the fact that I’m in the process of leaving the bright lights of Edmonton and headed north to where I grew up and ironically the place I was quite convinced I wouldn’t move back to, that being Grande Prairie.

The past few weeks have been spent cleaning and listing the place I’ve lived in for the entire 8 years I’ve been in the city. Needless to say there have been countless memories in this place and I will miss it but I’m extremely anxious to get out of here and oddly enough start living and working in Grande Prairie again. Talk to me two years ago and that thought wouldn’t have even crossed my mind.

Funny how things change though.

I won’t bore anyone to death with the details of moving because I’ve done that enough on my other website, instead Ill bore you all with what I’m going to be doing and things I’m currently working on…in case anyone of you out there in web land need to know that I do more then just websites.

I’m currently in the process of building a new digital ad screen for one of the stores. In past years I designed something a little more complex functionality wise for the Robins stores. This digital screen will be nothing more then a television ad showcasing Wapiti ESSO’s contest where you can win a free flight anywhere in the world (held every month). Next time your in that ESSO be sure to enter, they’ve already given out flights to Greece, South America, and even beautiful NEWFOUNDLAND!.

The big news is probably the IT job I’ve taken with that same company although I’m not sure entirely it’s going to be strictly dealing with computers. At this point in time I’m not 100% sure what the whole scope of the job will entail but I got a pretty good indication this past week. A lot of it will be the same stuff most of you call me for…computer help! But at least this time I’ll be getting paid, with the amount of calls I’ll probably be filing don’t be surprised if I sound a little grumpy when you ask me a computer question.

On top of that I will continue to freelance for individuals and companies who are in need of graphic design, website design, etc, Oh and did I mention that I”ll be coaching while attempting to play hockey again this year? I cant give anyone the intricate details just yet but I’m sure it will be pasted all over twitter and facebook once I get the word. Hopefully by the time it all comes to fruition I will be in better shape and not gasping for breath after 6 shooters in a 3 line shooting drill.

I dont know how much time I’ll have for socializing but that may just end up being a good thing because it will involve less alcohol.

Regardless this will be one of the last two weekends I stay in my condo so see all you Grande Prairians Monday!

I thank you, more about money then anything and if it doesn’t work out liking it I will be on the first boat back to Edmonton!
