Darren Walker's Blog

A lot of my incoherent rambling covering topics on anything and everything, such as results from the latest game to conquering that last project.

Beaverlodgeblades.com

After a little bit longer then expected I’m finally proud to announce that I’ve finished up (for the most part) my latest website, beaverlodgeblades.com. Most my work is built on the free engine built from Wordpress and while it truly is a great platform it is lacking when it comes to a software solution for league/team websites. There are plugins out there available for it but why bend and try tweak something so it only works half as good as an already established statistics database program. Not to mention I…

Blades, Wapiti, and More…

Funny how the last time I said I planned on stopping to neglect my work portfolio I slapped it in the face and neglected it even longer. The past few weeks have been spent cleaning and listing the place I’ve lived in for the entire 8 years I’ve…

CSS Frameworks

After a lengthy weekend away I’m back at it in Edmonton, albeit temporarily. As some of you know I’m currently in the process of packing up my stuff and moving north to Grande Prairie. Thankfully summer has finally arrived and the days have started to get a lot longer which is something I need as I’m quickly running out of time to finish all the home repair and cleaning that needs to be done…not to mention a few other web projects that have to be finished.

With not enough time in…
